Best view is from the top. Unfortunately the fumes from the bus are overpowering. Not every bus is the maroon bus pictured on the website. Most are colorful and have different advertisements so it was confusing to determine if they were the correct tour company. It was raining on part of our tour and our seats were wet. The guide gave us some paper towels and when you looked at the paper towel after wiping, you better pray you didn't wear white pants! The seats are narrow and so is the staircase. If you are long-legged, I suggest you grab a seat to yourself. We rode the entire 90 min trip and then stayed on to plan out where our stops were. Each guide adds or takes away from the trip based on how little/much info is provided. This can't be helped and should not be held against the guide. I would give this tour a higher rating if they switched to propane buses instead of diesel.Joan S., United States, 09-2009

We had one day to see the sites of Philadelphia. This tour is the best way to see everything and hear about it. You can hop on and off easily, and catch another bus every 30 min. The double decker tour bus of Philadelphia was a great way to learn and see many of the sites within the city. The bus guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The main complaint of the tour surrounds the ease of finding the pick up location. We picked up the tour at the zoo and the pick up point was not well marked. We were told by zoo staff to wait in one location but then saw the bus go by several times. When we called the tour company, the staff were not very helpful and more interested in blaming the problem on others (the internet site where the tickets were purchased, etc) then helping us to remedy the problem. The actual pick up location was not an ideal spot to wait with small children. It was across the street from the zoo at a very busy intersection with very little sidewalk to wait safely for the arrival of the bus.Amy C., United States, 07-2009
What a great experience! I recommend to anyone, especially if it's your first time to Philadelphia, that you go on this tour! Gives you a great overview of the city, especially if you don't have much time, like me! The next time, I would definitely stay longer in Philadelphia so I can see more!! Our main departure point is Just opposite the Independence Visitor Center located at 111 S Independence Mall E Philadelphia PA 19106. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your desired departure time.

Parking:
Independence Visitor Center: Located at 6th & Market Streets. Underground parking is offered adjacent to the building. However, if you need to find another location nearby, try some of these parking facilities:
Central Parking Auto Park at Independence Mall: 6th Street between Market & Arch Streets. Entrances on 6th Street and on 5th Street, you are able to enter The Visitor Center without leaving the building by using elevator inside the Parking facility to the Main floor.
Five Star Parking: Between 6th & 7th Streets on Market Streets (Closed Sunday). Exit building onto 7th Street Make right to corner which is Market Street. Walk right on Market Street to 6th Street.
